The Sands at Grace Bay resort situated on the award-winning Grace Bay Beach in Turks and Caicos, Providenciales has received the Travelers’ Choice award for 2023.

The Travelers’ Choice awards honor travelers’ favorite destinations, hotels, restaurants, things to do, and beyond, based on the reviews and opinions collected from travelers and diners around the world on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period. Travelers’ Choice recognizes businesses that earn consistently great reviews. Travelers’ Choice award-winners are among the top 10% of listings on Tripadvisor. Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice honors select accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence. Winners are determined based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period, as well as an additional editorial process.

The Sands at Grace Bay Receives 2020 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award

The Sands at Grace Bay resort situated on the Tripadvisor voted “2020 World’s Best Beach” — Grace Bay Beach — in Turks and Caicos, Providenciales has received the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award for 2020. Winners of this award, formerly known as the Certificate of Excellence, are among the top 10% of businesses on TripAdvisor. Travelers’ Choice recipients include destinations, airlines, accommodations, restaurants, attractions and experiences worldwide that earn consistently great user reviews.

The Travelers’ Choice accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

According to a 2019 TripAdvisor survey, travelers said recognition programs are tremendously influential in consumer decision-making. This feedback compelled TripAdvisor to update its award program structure “to bring greater clarity around these awards to consumers, making them even more helpful and valuable,” according to its website.

Now in its ninth year, the achievement celebrates businesses that are consistently excellent, having earned great traveler reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. TripAdvisor’s 2019 Certificate of Excellence recipients include accommodations, restaurants, and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.

As a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award winner, we’re always looking for ways to give our guests the best possible experience at The Sands at Grace Bay. We are thrilled to share that we recently completed upgrades and renovations on the small and middle waterfall pools. Additionally, we are moving the retail shop from across the parking lot, to inside the lobby. The prior sales office, and property manager office are being transformed to the new retail shop. Further, The IT office adjacent to the lobby will become two unisex restrooms with one of them being handicap accessible.

TripAdvisor Names Grace Bay Beach as World’s Best Beach In 2018 Travelers’ Choice Awards

Travel planning and booking site, TripAdvisor®, today announced the winners of its Travelers’ Choice® awards for Beaches. Drum-roll please…Grace Bay Beach in Turks and Caicos won the top honor as the best beach in the world this year, reclaiming its crown from 2016.

According to TripAdvisor, the company has awarded 355 beaches overall, including the top 25 in the world and local lists for Asia, Europe, Africa, South Pacific, South America, Middle East, Caribbean, Central America, Australia, Brazil, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, the U.K. and the U.S.

Providenciales: #1 beach destination in the world!

caribbean resortFor the second year in a row, an online community of millions of travelers has made Providenciales the number one beach destination in the Trip Advisor Traveler’s Choice Top 25 Beach Destinations. The majestic powdery white sandy beaches, such as our own Grace Bay, that surround the island were one of the top reasons for Provo’s first-place ranking in 2012.

Provo’s little-visited barrier reefs are also magnets for vacationers who want to experience in diving and snorkeling. Newlyweds also found Provo and Grace Bay to be romantic destination-wedding location, and a perfect honeymoon spot.

Apart from the beaches, the island’s charm lies in its rugged hills and ridges, which are carpeted with prickly pear cactus and scrub.
