Holiday Happenings in Providenciales: 3rd Annual Maskanoo Parade

Guests staying with us over the Christmas Holiday week: you won’t want to miss the 3rd Annual Maskanoo Parade happening on Wednesday, December 26th from 3pm – midnight. The annual parade will be held along Grace Bay Road, between the Regent Village and Salt Mills Plaza. There will be beautiful and cultural costumes, local music, island food, and arts & entertainment for all ages to enjoy!

This parade and party is a terrific way to experience the culture and heritage of the Turks & Caicos Islands. Why is it called “Maskanoo”? It’s a unique celebration that mixes “Junkanoo” – taken from Turks and Caicos’ Bahamian heritage, with a masquerade to transform the event into a lively and colorful parade featuring stunning handmade masks and costumes.

This is a great way to spend the day after Christmas with your loved ones and family, and experience the Turks & Caicos Islands in a unique and vibrant way! The Maskanoo event is organized by the Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association (TCHTA) and the Cultural & Arts Commission.
